Privacy policy

The short version

• You upload a video. We analyse it and delete the video right after analysis (and in any case within 24 hours).
• To write your edit plan, our AI editor looks at about 36 still frames and the transcript of that one video. They are sent for that request only and not kept.
• A copy of your video can stay in your own browser so you can step through the edit plan frame by frame. It never leaves your device and you can remove it in Account settings.
• We keep the scores and measured signals so you can see your history.
• We only use your scans to train future models if you opt in.
• You can delete your account and everything tied to it at any time from Account settings, except tax invoices and credit notes, which the law requires us to keep.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and sign-in provider (e.g. Google or Apple).
• Videos you upload: stored privately only while they are analysed. Videos may contain faces and voices; we process them only to compute the measurements described below.
• Scan results: scores, measured signals (such as motion, cuts, loudness, caption coverage and speaking pace), the edit plan and fixes we generated, and the transcript of what was said (with word timings) so you can see filler words and pauses.
• Feedback you choose to give: whether you posted the video and how it performed.
• Payments: handled by Razorpay, Stripe, Google Play or the App Store. We receive confirmation of what you bought, never your full card details.
• Tax invoices: for purchases in rupees we issue a GST invoice (and a credit note if we refund you) with your email and state and, for a business invoice, the GSTIN, business name and address you give us.
• Usage and crash data: product analytics (PostHog) and error reports (Sentry), configured to avoid collecting the content of your videos.

Why we use it

• To analyse your videos and show you results (contract).
• To run your account, scans and purchases (contract).
• To keep the service secure and fix crashes (legitimate interest).
• To improve our scoring models — only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who processes it

We use trusted providers to run ViralGrader: cloud hosting and storage (e.g. Cloudflare R2, Supabase), an AI provider (Anthropic) that receives our measurements, the transcript and about 36 still frames of your video to write your edit plan — sent per request, not stored by us, and not used by Anthropic to train its models under its commercial API terms — plus analytics, crash reporting and payment processors. They process data on our instructions.

How long we keep it

• Raw videos: deleted right after analysis; unfinished uploads are removed within 24 hours.
• Scan results and account data: until you delete them or your account.
• Payment records, GST invoices and credit notes: as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after you delete your account.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and, where it applies, the GDPR, you can access, correct and delete your data, withdraw consent and complain to a regulator. Delete your account in Account settings, or contact us for anything else.

Children

ViralGrader is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
